The Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti Scholarship 2024 is a program in West Bengal aimed at empowering and supporting female students in pursuing higher education after completing their 12th grade. Administered by the Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Search (JBNSTS) in Kolkata, this initiative provides financial aid to girls from various educational backgrounds, including:

Eligibility Requirements

●    The applicant must be an Indian female student to apply for this scholarship.
●    Candidates must be residents of West Bengal and have a domicile certificate of  West Bengal.
●    Only students who passed their 10th standard or equivalent examinations in the year of application are eligible for the scholarships.
●    A minimum aggregate of 75% marks is required for eligibility.
●    Candidates must also have been admitted in Class XI in the science stream with at least three subjects from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Statistics, and Computer Science in the same year of application.
●    The applicant must be studying Basic Science, Medicine, or Engineering in any institute within West Bengal.
A. Documents Required
●    Three recent passport-size photos pasted on the application form
●    Photocopy of Class 12 or equivalent mark sheet
●    Bank Draft of INR 200 payable at Kolkata in favor of “Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Search”
●    Self-addressed envelope with a postal stamp of INR 10 (envelope size: 20 cm x 12 cm) for Admit Card delivery
●    Admission proof for the 1st year
B. Scanned Documents:
●    Signature in jpg/jpeg format (size within 50 KB)
●    High-resolution recent passport-size photograph in jpg/jpeg format (size within 100 KB)
●    Scan copy of Class 10 mark sheet in jpeg/pdf format (size: 1 MB)
●    Scan copy of Class 12 mark sheet in jpeg/pdf format (size: 1 MB)

Application process

To apply for the Bigyan Kanya Scholarship, follow these steps:
A. Online Application Process:
1. Visit the official JBNSTS website and access the online application form.
2. Fill in all required details and pay the Rs 100/fee online or via e-challan.
3. Upload a passport-size photograph and signature in JPEG format.
4. Upload your Class 12 mark sheet and proof of admission (each file should not exceed 1MB).
5. Carefully review the instructions before submitting them to ensure completeness.
B. Offline Application Process:
1. Download the application form from the official website.
2. Print the form and fill in all necessary details.
3. Attach all required documents.
4. Submit the completed form to the JBNSTS office at 1300 Rajdanga Main Road, Kolkata-700107, West Bengal.

Candidates should note that incomplete applications can be rejected.
