Courses

Eligibility

M.Pharm Candidates must have a 60% in B.Pharm from a recognized university. They should qualify for the GPAT or PGET offered by MAKAUT (Formerly WBUT), West Bengal. 
B.Pharm
  • The candidate must be an Indian national who has successfully finished the H.S. (10+2) or an equivalent test from a recognized Board. 
  • The candidate must be at least 17 years old by December 31 of the admissions year. 
  • There is no maximum age. Physics, chemistry, mathematics, biotechnology, and biology are all needed subjects. 
  • Pass the relevant Higher Secondary (10+2) qualifying examination with a minimum of 40% marks (for all categories of students) in English and 45% marks in the aforementioned disciplines combined. 
  • Must have passed the WBJEE during the admission year.
  • Candidates from the Reserved Categories (SC/ST/PWD/OBC) must obtain a residency or domicile certificate to enroll in a pharmacy program.
B. Pharm (Lateral Entry)
  • The candidate must have a Diploma in Pharmacy from an institution accredited by the Pharmacy Council of India under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.
  • The candidate must get at least 45% (40% for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PwD) grades or an equal CGPA.
  • Such applicants will also be eligible for admission to the first-year degree course, subject to the availability of seats in the first-year courses if the lateral entrance spaces in the second year are exhausted. However, admission will be based solely on the eligibility conditions indicated above.
